Prague

Prague, the capital and largest city of the Czech Republic, is located in the center of Europe on the river Vltava. It is home to the President of the Republic and the government.

Prague has more than one milion inhabitants and covers an area of 496 km2.

Situated on a  hill overlooking the city center is Prague Castle, the largest castle complex in the world. The Castle dates back to the late 9th century and is an official UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site.

In addition to the Prague Castle, you can wander through the picturesque streets of the Lesser Town with its historical buildings, temples and churches, and stroll across the Charles Bridge, home to unique sculptures.

Don´t forget to visit the Old Town Square and watch the skeletons dance when the Astronomical Clock strikes the hour.

Prague has relatively reliable public transport system with buses, trams, and a metro.

Spend time on the water by taking a stream boat cruise or a romantic boat trip on the river Vltava.

Do not forgot to visit the local pubs and restaurants to try Czech cuisine and superb Czech beer that is refreshing year-round.

Prague also boasts a wide array of restaurants featuring food from different countries ranging from Italy to Australia.

Children will love taking a steamboat ride to the Prague ZOO near the Troja Castle.
